Autumn 2014 Peter de Langen chaired two industry conferences. The first conference, the Scheldt conference, brought together executives from companies operating in the port of Antwerp, Zeeland Seaports, Ghent and Zeebrugge, policy makers from various institutions and the port authorities. Together with the Belgian Moderator, Michael Dooms from the Free University of Brussels, Peter chaired the event and led the various discussion tables. Second, Peter chaired, for the third consecutive year, the Ports & Hinterland congress in Rotterdam, where important current challenges were discussed between all relevant stakeholders.
